Frank Koran Harlem, New York
I am a watercolor artist based in New York City. My work explores the loneliness and isolation that can be found in the bustling metropolis. Through my vibrant and evocative paintings, I delve into the emotional landscape of the city, capturing the solitude and longing that can exist even in the midst of crowds and towering skyscrapers.
What is Art for you?
Art to me is bringing the audience to experience something in between worlds, something between what's real and what's imaginary. I like to make statements on society and life during the most mundane yet relatable activities.
What is chocolate to you?
Chocolate is life. Chocolate is Art! Chocolate has and will always be my favorite sweet.
What inspires you, and this piece in particular?
Human life inspires me. More specifically, what we do in our day to day life within a gigantic ecosystem of other human beings inspires me. I like to take a look at the melancholic aspect of living within a gigantic metropolitan city.
